IN THE WORKS!

Robert Schupp, Stephan Woodward and Bob Dwier are putting a September tourney together. It will be near Statesville, NC atFox Den Golf Club on September 25th. This will be a "Captain Choice" event. Tee time will be at 10:21 am.
Calendar Events
Darrel Moore and associates have committed to hosting a October 16th tourney up in Durham, NC. He wants everyone to know it's going to be the best tournament of the year. The event will take place at The Crossings Country Club in Durham, NC. Tee time is at 10:00 am.
Our hats are off to Billy Kanoy. What a come back he has made! Billy had missed the greater part of the golf season while caring for his mother. Now that he has that under control, he was able to participate in the August 28th tournament held at Boone Golf Club in Boone, NC. Not only that; he also had captured tournament just like he did in 2009. Surprisedly, he won both time by carding scores of 86. With his eight birdies and an eagle it become harder for anyone to overcome Billy.  Darrel Moore, a veteran golfer actually shot a better score. He shot 80, but was not able to overcome Billy's lower handicap.
Would like to mention here, too that among the 19 NCDGA golfers who participated, there were several other golfers who shot idenitical scores as they did the previous year. Tommy Rea shot 95s, Chris McMahan shot 90s and Robert Ritch shot 76s. Many other were with one or two of matching last year scores.
We also want to thank the hosting party, Charles Crowe and Robert Ritch for the splendid job they did. It was a pleasure for a change to play in cooler temperature and to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Smokey Mountains.
